Commander EUFOR, Major General Fronda, today conduced an official visit to Srebrenica where he was recieved by and held discussions with key communtiy leaders.

As part of his engagements, Major General Fronda met with Mayor of Srebrenica Mr Miloš Vučić and Speaker of the Srebrenica Municipal Assembly Mr Almir Dudić. Discussions were conducted in a respectful atmosphere, with the discussions focusing on the importance of understanding and dialogue in promoting a peaceful coexistance for all communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Major General Fronda reaffirmed that EUFOR remains committed to its mandate of supporting a safe and secure environment for all citizens throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina in an impartial and professional manner.

Major General Fronda also took the opportunity to visit Srebrenica Memorial Centers in Potocari and Kravica in order to pay his respects to the victims. At the Memorial Centers, Major General Fronda reflected upon the suffering endured by the victims and their families, while recognising the enduring importance of remembrance, dignity, and respect.

Srebrenica remains a place of profound reflection and remembrance. Honouring the victims with dignity and respect is important not only for those directly affected, but for future generations. Peace, stability, and mutual understanding must continue to be strengthened through dialogue, respect, and cooperation.

The visit formed part of EUFOR’s continued engagement with communities and institutions across Bosnia and Herzegovina, while reaffirming its commitment to supporting long-term stability throughout the country.
