EUFOR Commander Major General Maurizio Fronda recently met with with President of the Jewish Community in BiH Mr. Jakob Finci in Sarajevo, maintaining EUFOR’s engagement with leading representatives of communities and institutions across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The conversation centred on the vital role that religious communities have in fostering dialogue, strengthening mutual understanding, and building trust amongst people. Both parties emphasised that respectful dialogue remains the bedrock upon which reconciliation, peaceful coexistence, and long-term stability can be cultivated. The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on current topics in Bosnia and Herzegovina and reflect on the shared importance of preserving a safe and secure environment for all citizens.
Mr. Jakob Finci expressed his gratitude for EUFOR’s ongoing efforts in safeguarding peace and stability throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. Major General Fronda reiterated that strong partnerships, open communication, and cooperation with local institutions and community leaders remain essential in contributing to vibrant communities and lasting stability.
