Today, EUFOR Commander Major General Maurizio Fronda met with Archbishop Tomo Vukšić in Sarajevo, continuing EUFOR’s engagement with key representatives of communities and institutions across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Their discussion focused on the important role that Churches and religious communities have in fostering dialogue, strengthening mutual understanding, and building trust among people. Both emphasised that respectful dialogue remains one of the most important foundations for reconciliation, peaceful coexistence, and long-term stability.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on current topics in Bosnia and Herzegovina and reflect on the shared importance of preserving a safe and secure environment for all citizens.
Archbishop Tomo Vukšić expressed appreciation for EUFOR’s continued efforts in supporting stability and security throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. Major General Fronda reaffirmed that strong partnerships, open communication, and cooperation with local institutions and community leaders remain essential in contributing to resilient communities and lasting stability.
EUFOR continues to operate under its mandate in support of the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, maintaining a credible, visible, and impartial presence across the country.
