The Commander of EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, continued his tour across Bosnia and Herzegovina with an official visit to Brčko District today.

Major General Fronda attended the ceremony marking the 26th anniversary of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held at the Brčko Culture Centre. The event brought together local officials, representatives of institutions, and members of the international community to commemorate the establishment of the district.

During the visit, Major General Fronda met with the Mayor of Brčko District, Mr. Siniša Milić, where they discussed the current security environment and the continued cooperation between EUFOR and local authorities. Major General Fronda reiterated EUFOR's firm commitment to close cooperation with local authorities, supporting capacity-building efforts that contribute to the long-term stability and prosperity of all citizens. General Fronda and Mr. Milić also emphasized the importance of maintaining a stable security situation within Bosnia and Herzegovina for the development of ongoing local projects.

As part of the visit, the EUFOR Commander also visited the EUFOR Austrian Liaison and Observation Team (LOT) House in Brčko, highlighting the important role EUFOR’s LOT Houses play in maintaining close engagement with local communities and authorities across the country.

The visit concluded with a stop at the Temporary Station Area (TSA) in Orašje, where the EUFOR Commander met with EUFOR troops and reviewed their operational readiness. These engagements send a clear message: EUFOR remains credible, ready, and fully committed to underpinning peace, security and stability for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while maintaining strong cooperation with local authorities and communities throughout the country.

Through proactive planning, visible presence, and strong partnerships, EUFOR continues to deliver both reassurance and deterrence across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
