On 16 October, the Romanian Aviation Detachment under EUFOR command conducted a series of joint training activities with operators from the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).
The objective of the exercise was to enhance insertion and extraction techniques using fast rope and rappel procedures. During the training, flight crews and special forces operators practiced complex air-to-ground coordination, strengthening interoperability and tactical readiness.
This activity provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experience and laid the foundation for strong, mutually beneficial cooperation in future missions. Mixed teams from both institutions participated in theoretical briefings, discussions, and practical drills focused on fast rope and rappel operations, emphasizing coordination between aircrew and ground operators, as well as safety and precision during insertion and extraction.
