A joint training exercise was conducted between the Mountain Rescue Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina, comprising rescue personnel from across the country, and EUFOR forces and aviation assets, with the aim of enhancing coordination and refining techniques specific to Search and Rescue (SAR) and Aeromedical Evacuation (Air MEDEVAC) operations using helicopters.
Throughout the exercise, mixed teams from both institutions engaged in a series of theoretical briefings, discussions, and practical drills focused on hoist operations, casualty evacuation, and specialized flight procedures.
This activity highlighted the importance of joint readiness and interoperability between civil protection structures and military aviation units in ensuring the safety of citizens and delivering rapid response in emergency situations.
The training marks another step forward in strengthening cooperation between civil protection authorities and EUFOR, reaffirming a shared commitment to maintaining high professional standards and mission readiness for all types of rescue operations.
