Since 2012, EUFOR has conducted its annual Quick Response exercise, except in 2014, when severe floods struck Bosnia and Herzegovina. That year, all deployed troops joined the Armed Forces of BiH and local authorities to assist the population, carrying out evacuations and providing emergency medical aid. This joint humanitarian effort was named Operation Joint Effort 2014.
This year’s exercise will involve EUFOR troops from 25 contributing nations currently deployed in-theatre. They will be temporarily reinforced by reserve units from the Czech Republic and Hungary, along with international peacekeeping troops from KFOR – Kosovo Forces.
Additionally, members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH) and BiH Law Enforcement Agencies will train alongside EUFOR personnel.
The goal: to strengthen operational readiness and reaffirm EUFOR’s unwavering support to its BiH partners in maintaining a safe and secure environment across the country.
