Combined training between the Multinational Battalion and AF BiH

10th – 14th November 2014; One Turkish Platoon from the Multinational Battalion has conducted peacekeeping training with the Armed Forces of BiH. The week-long training took place in Tuzla canton, with a goal to teach the Bosnian troops how to execute peace supporting tasks in line with international standards.

Austrian Chief of Defence Staff visits EUFOR

The Austrian Chief of Defence Staff, General Othmar Commenda, has conducted a two day visit to EUFOR.
General Commenda was welcomed at Camp Butmir on Wednesday by a guard of honour before meeting with Commander EUFOR, Major General Dieter Heidecker, to gain an update on the political situation in BiH and the Austrian contribution to the EUFOR mission.
General Commenda then attended a meeting with the Chief of the Joint Staff of Armed Forces BiH, Lieutenant General Anto Jeleč, together with Lieutenant General Jeleč’s senior leadership team.

EUFOR vehicles transport Red Cross flood assistance materials

EUFOR’s Multinational Battalion has transported over 20 tons of construction material to locations in BiH which were affected by the flooding in May and June.
The construction materials, which were provided via the Red Cross organisation, are to be used to help reconstruct houses which were affected by flooding in Orašje, Gradačac and Ključ.

EUFOR’s A-Coy conducts medical training in Kalinovik

The Austrian company of EUFOR’s Multi-National Battalion (MNBN) conducted training in September 2014 with the Medical Team of EUFOR.
An exercise scenario was created where some soldiers were wounded and subsequently had to be treated properly.

Shift change within the Austrian contingent

Thursday, 11th September 2014: The Austrian company of the Multinational Battalion has finished its rotation. The soldiers of the Infantry Battalion 17 of the Austrian Armed Forces handed over their duties to the incoming troops of the 35th Mechanized Infantry Battalion this morning.
