This is the fourth year that EUFOR has organised an art competition for the school children of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Already, nearly 300 Schools across the country have signed up to participate in this year’s competition. The children have been asked to produce a drawing or painting, design a poster, draw a comic strip or, with a group of friends, produce a photo essay.

The competition is open to all those at school between the ages of 6 and 18. The winners of this year’s competition can look forward to receiving such prizes as trips abroad, computers and cameras. All the prizes have been donated by the international community within BiH.
Gen Bair said: “This competition provides the youth of Bosnia and Herzegovina an opportunity to express their hopes for their nation to join the European Union. EUFOR will continue to work tirelessly to provide a safe and secure environment so that this can happen.”
The full details of the competition are available on the EUFOR website (www.euforbih.org) or through the Facebook page.
