Sandi Beganović is Pecigrad Celebrity

On 15th June 2010 COM EUFOR Major General Bernhard Bair together with the French Ambassador flew into Pecigrad by EUFOR helicopter to present Sandi Berganovic with his first prize for the EUFOR Schools’ Competition.

A pupil of Elementary School Pecigrad, Sandi was congratulated by COM EUFOR for his vision in illustrating the theme of ‘My European Neighbour’ stating that: “It is wonderful to see children from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina working together on a single project.”  The French Ambassador Her Excellency Mrs Maryse Berniau presented Sandi with a notebook computer that was donated by the French Embassy.

Sandi’s fellow pupils welcomed the party from Sarajevo with warm smiles, dancing and the flags of Bosnia and Herzegovina, France and the European Union.

On completion of the prize giving, HE Madame Berniau and COM EUFOR called on the office of the Mayor of Cazin Mr Ogrešević where they discussed the security and stability of the locality together with opportunities for educational and economic development.
